After many years working and traveling throughout Asia and the Middle East as an

expatriate couple staying in many hotels, apartments, houses and compounds the

owners, an Englishman and his Taiwanese wife returned to the wife's home town of

Hualien to establish “English Cottage Bed & Breakfast-Home stay” which they sincerely

hope you enjoy, being set in the quite countryside surrounding Hualien, near the

mountains offering the opportunity of peace and quiet to relax, and enjoy the fresh

clean country air.

English Cottage is located in Ji-an County. It is nestled between the mountains at

the mouth of the East Rift Valley. It is blessed with clear mountain views and a peaceful

country atmosphere.

The area around English Cottage has many hiking trails and quiet country roads. We

welcome guests who visit Hualien to stay and enjoy the scenic countryside views that

are best enjoyed from the seat of a bicycle,

English cottage provides the ideal opportunity to escape and truly relax. English

Cottage provides a separate guest living room for chatting, sipping tea and coffee,

reading or just relaxing. Together with an English garden to enjoy the mountain views

and clean fresh country air.
